About this perfume

Cinnamon and cardamom open with real spice, lifted briefly by bergamot and orange blossom before the citrus burns off and the fragrance settles into its actual character. Bourbon vanilla and elemi take the heart in a resinous, almost balsamic direction, and praline sweetens the base into confectionery territory while ambroxan and guaiac wood keep it from turning sugary. Liquid Brun projects heavily for the first hour and then sits close and warm for the rest of the day - a cold-weather fragrance that makes no attempt at subtlety. French Avenue released it in 2024.

French Avenue is the prestige line of Fragrance World, the Dubai house founded by Moosa Haji in 2003, and it launched with its own first releases in 2021. The brief is in the name: Parisian structure and finish applied to the concentration and projection that Emirati perfumery is known for, sold at a fraction of what the reference points cost. The bottles are deliberately heavy and ornamental, the compositions lean warm and sweet, and the line has grown to well over a hundred fragrances distributed across more than a hundred countries.
